The best of local art programs and events are selected weekly by the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region. COPPER serves as the lead organization for centralizing and coordinating information about cultural services in the community.

The Fort Carson Grant Library, Army Community Service (ACS) and the Child, Youth and School Services (CYS2) offer a variety of programs, events and classes to children of all ages. Children participating in CYS2 programs must be registered in the CYS2 system. For information on free registration, call or visit the Fort Carson Central Registration Office (bldg. 1518, telephone: 526-1101).

Playgroups, early education programs with age appropriate, interactive games and activities are offered free of charge on a monthly basis. A variety of free events with family entertainment and activities take place regularly at various MWR facilities. These programs and events are open to the public.

Fort Caron’s Auto Craft Shop offers classes with information and demonstrations on the basics of vehicle maintenance, from oil change to tire pressure check and more. Classes are open to the public; cost is $5 per class.

Fort Carson MWR operates four fitness centers, two swimming pools, a golf course, a bowling center and two sports bars. Outdoor adventure programs and trips are offered all year around. Turkey Creek Ranch is located just south of Fort Carson offering trail rides, pony rides, wagon rides and more. Selected facilities and programs are open to the public.
