The best of local art programs and events are selected weekly by the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region. COPPER serves as the lead organization for centralizing and coordinating information about cultural services in the community.

The Fort Carson Grant Library, Army Community Service (ACS) and the Child, Youth and School Services (CYS2) offer a variety of programs, events and classes to children of all ages. Children participating in CYS2 programs must be registered in the CYS2 system. For each sport, teams are organized for the winter, spring, summer and fall seasons, participation fees vary per sport. Special family events and programs are offered at various MWR facilities for all the popular holidays throughout the year with holiday themed activities, food & beverages, games and more. All holiday activities are family focused and free with no admission fees. Most events are open to the public.

A variety of free classes and free training are offered at Fort Carson for Department of Defense ID card holders (active duty and retired military, their family members and DoD civilians), 18 years or older. Selected classes are offered for a minimal fee and are open to the public.

Fort Caron’s Auto Craft Shop offers classes with information and demonstrations on the basics of vehicle maintenance, from oil change to tire pressure check and more. Classes are open to the public; cost is $5 per class.

Free computer classes are offered by the Fort Carson Army Community Service; Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, more. Classes are open to Department of Defense ID card holders (active duty and retired military, their family members and DoD civilians).

The Fort Carson Intramural Sports Office recruits teams and schedules games in the following sports: basketball, dodge ball, bowling, flag football, volleyball. Intramural sports teams are offered to both men and women free of charge. The Fort Carson Child, Youth and School Services (CYS2) offer a variety of sports activities for children between the ages of 3-18 years, all year around. Cost varies per sport, age and length of the season.

Fort Carson MWR operates four fitness centers, two swimming pools, a golf course, a bowling center and two sports bars. Outdoor adventure programs and trips are offered all year around. Turkey Creek Ranch is located just south of Fort Carson offering trail rides, pony rides, wagon rides and more. Selected facilities and programs are open to the public.
